Generalized statements in this article about teachers are utterly wrong. So also generalized remarks on this country. In the universities and elsewhere in other countries also personal prejudices and discrimination are evident. We should aim at mitigating these angularities rather than regimenting and politicizing. As Jagjeevanram had said, the caste based reservations should be abolished and poverty and backwardness index should be used for support.
in acountry where Dronacharya Award is supreme award .dronacharya who damaged career of Akalavya and Karna only due to their caste. in such conutry how teacher can rise above caste when there ultimate reward is in the name of So called Guru who has taken all decision on basis of caste
i dont think this issue should be looked upon as dalit vs upper caste. i being upper caste student have suffered at the hands of sc/st teachers. There are dark skinned or ugly looking students who regularly suffer discrimination at the hands of white skinned ones.its common for teachers to favor students from their own community or region.

Oh ya.. We had faculty from sc background though they used to use rest of the students.. They used to favour students from their own community.. N see to use those students as informant agents.
It is misinterpertation of facts.Let us call students and do not classify tem as dalits or non dalits.Reservations ufter post gradshould have been abolished long back.It is creating a priviledged class which is not in national interest.Even after post graduation they are dalits.
I am happy to see Rajesh Paswan's narration about the discrimination of students. But this happens to all sections including OBC and forward community students. No need to single out SC/STs. It is time to clean the universities from caste discriminations.
