Exactly. Dowry is very prevalent among the Hurriyat people and the Jama Masjid people, Mehr it is called. That is why.

Dowry is paid by the parents why should the woman fall in love for it against her parents wishes??
The root cause is the compulsive need to convert. If the issue is about love should be independent of religion then there is a simple solution. Let the boy and his parents give an undertaking that they will not convert the girl or will not force religion on the children born out of the marriage

Nobody forces anyone in m00slem. It is people who come and join their faith. If you see across the world, many m00slems in different countries have different cultures in terms of wearing dress, food, lifestyle etc. They have more focus on simplicity in prayer to g0d and simplicity in mandatory giving of charity and mandatory prayer for 5times a day. This simple means to access g0d makes people grow closer to these people. After all, this world is a material world, we all will d-i-e one day and we all will face g0d. G0d is the centre point in their faith.

True. So article 370 needs to be removed as soon as possible and uniform civil code drawn up.
