Salute the legend
by Nawal Somani on Jan 16, 2016 03:07 PM

Hats off to the 1971 Hero.
Our past politicians maybe did not like to give credit where it was due, but take credit for any success, and pass the blame to 'n' no. of reasons/pupils, who were anyways under them. And the worst fact was that the Indian Media too always toed the line of the then Government in power. We, the general citizens of this Great Indian democracy, were mostly not informed or ill informed. Now, let's hope, this changes for the better.

Gen. Jacob rightly suggested that India has already become the HAMLET of Shakespeare. IT truly is SAD.

NATIONALISM PATRIOTISM = JINGOISM?
by SABY on Jan 14, 2016 02:35 PM

Fancy this. Indian newspaper calls Gen Pervez Musharraf, but when it comes to our Amed Forces officers it is Suhag. Indian newspaper say Chhota Rajan PASSES away, but when it comes to news of our soldiers, it is DIES. We are averse to standing up in attention for our national anthem being played in cinema halls because we don't want to be taught patriotism! Our credentials for nationalism should not be questioned! We as a country are GREATEST NATIONALISTS ever to have walked this planet! We love to maintain a viewpoint that soldiers are meant to die and happily voice every politician on this. Media loves to rub that any point of patiotism, nationalism is JINGOISM. WHY?

How about approving OROP in his memory
by M S on Jan 14, 2016 12:35 PM

His reward will be in Heaven, fine. But how about the OROP for making sure others don't have to go to heaven to get their reward. It is like the 15 lakhs per person jumla. Before elections it was 15 lakhs per person, after elections, it is 2 lakhs when you die. Hypocrisy and Photo Ops is the only thing NaMo did. Anyone disagree?
