Response to the present situation - India Pak relations
by NG Nileshwar on Jan 05, 2016 08:51 AM

It is asking too much from a stalemate of the past. The situation is slowly evolving into the one like ISIS in Syria. The radicalization, if not halted here & now, will hurt not only Pak but the whole of Asia. The Pak military supports this and no amount of talks can solve any dispute. The consistent denials by Pak about their involvement in Indian affairs makes it abundantly clear that the Civilian Govt in Pak is just a mask to garner funds in aid.
There is no control over these funds after they r recd.
In my opinion India should take charge of the situation before it is too late. Infiltration must be met with aggression, not a tepid response. We should POK from where terror is emanating and retain this area with us till Pak sits on the negotiating table to settle this issue. China will also not have access thru POK, once captured by us.

INDIA,s RESPONCE TO PAKISTAN,S PROXY WAR
by skmahendroo on Jan 04, 2016 09:52 PM

We must deal with PAKISTAN at three levels First we must aid & encourage the elements like the Tribals of BALOCHISTAN to fight Guriella war with PAKISTAN . They are good at it .Secondly must give military aid to AFGHANISTAN to enable it to fight LET & PAKISTAN aided isis . We must isolate PAKISTAN by giving proof of PAKISTAN training the international terrorists .We must be more strict with the disgruntled elements of J&K who openly support JEHADIS . We must make it clear to MUFTI that it is NOT ACCEPTABLE .We must be more strict in dealing with jehadis even at the cost of demolition of our own buildings .We must use TEAR GAS OR SMOKING SHELLS TO SMOKE OUT THE TERRORISTS from buildings & THEN KILL THEM .

A well articulated and well informed article.

Trust NSA is acting to build deterrence to Pak proxy war. No harm to continue with sweet talks. But escalate proxy to implode Pak from within. It is possible. And that is the only policy which may succeed against her.

Too many looters!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Jan 04, 2016 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

The problem in India is the cultivation of feudalism called Nehru/Gandhi clan rule. The clan and its sychophants diluted the spirits of the armed forces and enriched themselves at the cost of the security. Its cuts in bribes on armament procurement is well known, anc those military men who fell tothe evil designs of the enemy has rendered the Indian Army sitting ducks. Advice to NDA Govt is to consider seriously to abolish the Rajya Sabha which is an hindrance to positive goverance!

Oh, in terms of looting public wealth, the BJP is no different from the Congress, is it ?

In whatever relatively little time the BJP has enjoyed power, it has demonstrated that it matches the Congress in looting, has it not ?

Just a year and a half into power and already the skeletons have started falling out, havent they ?

And the previous Vajpayee govt too had left its own little record colourful CAG notes, hadnt it ?

All talk no action.
by SURYAKANT PAWAR on Jan 04, 2016 05:59 PM

We Indians have big mouth and shallow on action. I think so called intellectuals earn their livelihoods by writing such articles after such attacks. In a way ISI is helping them earn. Now, even after 68 years we cry of underground tunnels..pakistan can easily send fully armed militants directly into our Army, navy, Air Force bases. Whole world has technology to detect tunnels. Our own Air Force officials are sharing information for sex. How can armed group not ine two groups enter heavily guarded bases?

Great Article- But will Mr. Modi wake up?
by Halachandra Kalloli on Jan 04, 2016 05:05 PM

The sad part is no matter who is in government, the Pakistan Policy is the same -looking inward and dream of every PM to win Nobel prize and leaving behind a legacy. Look inward for building a strong India where caste/religions don't divide us, keep us united to fight any external aggression. Look outward to build non-conventional/non-regular military assets to hurt Pakistan, why is RAW not as dreaded as ISI? But we are just doing the opposite. We badly need Sardar Vallabhai Patel not Kejariwal/Modi/RaGa type of politicians.

Give us solutions please.

There will be no permanent solution. This issue is like mosquito vs humans, we keep eradicating & they keep popping up. The lesson of scores of centuries is we need to keep fighting & sacrificing.

Proxy war in Kashmir
by arungopal agarwal on Jan 04, 2016 04:54 PM  | Hide replies

This will continue till outsiders are not allowed to settle there, rather separatists have forced Pandits to flee. We have not taken any correction so far, high time to finish article 370 and settle at least in border towns the families of para military forces.
