BREAK pakis into 4 parts. is the only solution. To contain proxy war, Stop using Army power, Govt should call all services chief and tell army you hold on LOC and on border. AIR AND NAVAL power start using to counter act proxi activities, Pkistan will not be able to sustain the loss of men and material.

Peaceful solution of problems between any two nations can solved by direct negotiation, mediation or arbitration by a body mutually accepted nations. It is only when all the peaceful methods have failed that one should think of war.Changing world politics may make solutions unacceptable earlier, may become acceptable in due course. The Pakistan army has to change its attitude. This can be brought about by giving it a place in the peace negotiations. Meeting between officers of two armies will do good. Both India and Pakistan are poor nations struggling to improve the lot of their citizens. A war should be avoided as far as possible, for a it will stop constructive activities and increase the price every thing.
I hope serious thought will be given to this proposal as it is clear that PAKISHAN Army is independent of the Elected leaders. Also it very essential to control DRUGS smuggling across the boarder P S Vinodababu
Brig Gurmeet Kanwal's suggestions need to be considered seriously.I would like to further substantiate his rationale-In UN Peace keeping operations, the Indian&Pak troop contingents operate in harmony and spirit of jointmanship.

There is no spontaneous hatred or friendship but only a deliberate policy of permanent aggression against India. Indians are too terrified to start war, which would have been the only solution for India. Instead of war the Indians act as if they are in a court where the case is to be won by use of words alone. The more Pakistan attacks, the more words the Indians produce in their effort to win the legal case. It is a state of hypnosis of Indians which the Pakistanis have successfully produced.
Indians are unable to break out and free themselves of the hypnosis induced by Pakistan, and thereby unable to solve their Pakistan problem. It is a matter of great entertainment for the Pakistanis.
Time will tell whether the Indians managed to become free of this hypnotized state of mind, and if so then what they did to Pakistan.
There is one and only one solution to end proxy war or any sort of attack from across the border: One nuclear strike in a complete desert region of Pak. Minimum, possibly zero casualties and maximum political impact.
But to do this, India needs 100% protection from a Pak nuclear counter. Hence, a Steel Dome (for it should be better than Iron Dome systems of Israel) missile defence system has to be implemented. It is possible that the existence of the missile shield system itself will end terror as Pak will know what is to come next.
Plan B: Steel Dome followed by Aerial bombing of JEM /LET training camps. No country will find fault with this, and credit can be given to Pak Intelligence for giving India the Intel.

Totally wrong. Symbolic acts have no effect on Pakistan.
The suggestion is due to wishful thinking of Indians who are unable to persuade themselves to fight the war the way all wars have to be fought, by physically killing the enemies.
Nuclear strike has to be on densely populated places of the enemy country, and not just one but the maximum number of available weapons have to be used with a proper dispersal over densely populated targets to obtain maximum possible number of casualties of enemy.
There is no practical way to fight a war without having to kill the enemy nor would it make any sense. Indians should stop looking for soft options that involve fighting without killing and instead look for fighting with maximum technically achievable killing.
