Syed Firdaus Ashraf - Provocative
by Jai Maharashtra on Feb 28, 2016 08:39 PM  | Hide replies

We most readers on rediff are finding that Syed Firdaus Ashraf puts his headlines very provocative and communal. This is very dangerous, i expect him to put some proper Headlines rather just create sensation to make a polarisation effect.

by satyajit sharma on Feb 28, 2016 08:34 PM  | Hide replies

in present day no body is professing brahminisism. any body who knows his duties and profession well and profess moral code of conduct and due his duty using minimum resouces is brahmin. be it from any caste by birth. aany body who has power and accumulates material wealth and uses right and wrong means is raja and any body living in illusion do not work and have wrong habbits are sudras. it is the brahmins that have maximum contribution not by birth but by deeds and qualities.brahmins are supreme.

Caste is not a new thing in this country, if any body is not knowing he must be imported from outside. Just asking caste is not any issue, UPA govt. was trying for caste based population counting for their vote bank to which you people support. and i don't understand your interest in it. Siya, sunni, kurd, many more thing are their, and why don't your read the history of making of bangladesh. You should be aware of what pakistani army did against the own muslim community. Lacs of murder, rape and what nothing.

described the celebration of Mahishasur day at the JNU as an insult to hyndus.

But she did not say a word about the fact that dozens of different communities (such as the Santhals, Gonds, Bhils, Ashura Adivasis, etc.) consider Mahishasur as their deity rather than Durga and have been celebrating Mahishasur fetivals for several centuries !

Perhaps she refrained from saying that those communities too are insulting *hyndus* (like those students at the JNU) because their numbers are much higher than those of the JNU students and their votes are more important for her party !

Please view her entire speech, she did not mean to insult any community or caste. She was only pointing out what the opposition members have done in the past. Have some common sense please before putting forth a opinion.

Please view her speech once again, this time slowly and with full attention !

And regarding your offer to *have some common sense*, tell me where to come so that I can take it from you.

As a child, when we are told about Durga and Mahisasura, it is not the caste we are told about. It is the misdeeds of the latter that brought to the end by the former. Devi Durga is the symbol of women empowerment and is not a mascot of any community. So is Mahisasura or for that matter any asura or demon. It is the victory of good over evil that is represented in these stories. Why do we have to dissect every aspect of the story and propagate the matters that are irrelevant or create controversy. You are free to follow or not follow any religious/ not so religious idea. but you are not free to insult the one that you do not follow.

They want to present themselves as great patriot and have passed a judgement cancelling the congress membership of Jenab Patel Saheb, Ambedkar Saheb and have forcibly given membership of BJP. They are also not sparing religious gurus and have given them also their membership.
