Naveen Patnaik does not speak fluent Oriya was known yet people elect him for his work. He is totally relaxed on stage and focus is on content rather than attire or protocols. Biggest surprise is that Naveen babu has not traveled abroad as CM of Odisha under any pretext. Hats off to him

No. He travelled to UK in his last tenure of CM. But had to cut short his trip as there was a political turmoil in the party.
Mr. naveen pattanaik is the only ideal leader in ODISHA who has brought the genuine growth and development for the people of the state.otherwise after 1999 SUPER CYCLONE the state would have gone down further.

but i see more and more people coming and working in southern states. Is it the money sent from other states to Orissa thats making them seem richer, just like the money from gulf sustaining kerala?? I am not against people from orissa working elsewhere, i have many good oriya friends. but, give the credit to the people that deserve. keralites openly say that money from gulf is sustaining the state.
He is a good CM, but unless he cannot provide for his people he cannot be termed effective cm. all he did is to ask railways minister for more trains to other states so that people from orissa start to migrate.

15 Years changes thing automatically !! If same CM is there then all the more Ok !! But don't attribute natural change as change brought by Naveen Babu
I recently visited Odisha after 22 years. I visited Cuttack, Sambalpur, Angul, Bhubaneswar and Talcher. At each of these places, people are brimming with confidence. There is a lot of growth in infrastructure, people have got richer, more confident and in genera a happier lot. This is a far cry from the impoverished, largely rural and diffident state that I had left two decades ago.

I belong to Odisha and Bhubaneswar! Proud to have a CM like Naveen Patnaik! His father, legendary Biju Babu was an ICON for every Odia! People come to politics to amass wealth - barring of course a few like Atal ji, Advani ji, Modi ji, Manik Sarkar, Parrikar etc. But, Biju Babu lost his wealth after coming to politics! Naveen babu is his true \"Dayad\"!
