India, please wake up
by surath gupta on Feb 16, 2016 12:20 AM

The supreme sacrifice by these brave hearts shouldn't go unnoticed. I pray for the departed souls and extend my full sympathy for the bereaved families. However I am really surprised to notice that there is no single comment from any female personality in this column. How can they remain so indifferent? Is it because the people died are all men and not women. Is it only natural that men are supposed to lay down their lives to protect our nation and its people. if this is the attitude then I must say that we live in a country where Indian males have no respect and no importance in the society where we only talk about women empowerment and women security. This is really sad and sorry state of affairs. India please don't become a feminist country.

God bless them and their family. The country is indebted to them for centuries. Let us not spoil this moment with the thoughts of some scoundrels . Let us also remember that these martyrs do not differentiate by religion or caste. They are our soldiers and we are proud of them.

Bureaucrats and politicians were absolutely terrified of the Indian Army, seen as a left over British institution. That fear has prevented large scale open interference with the inner workings of the Army, and permitted it to remain modern in culture as the rest of the country goes to the dogs.

The other institutions like judiciary, police, civilian government organizations, universities and colleges, have all ben thoroughly corrupted and have adopted backwardness as a way of life.

Surely there must be theoretical possibility to safe guard against climatic difficulties, and introduce more automation in the maintenance chain for these forward areas.

India must never accept view of bogus patriots who speak of vacating Siachen to save lives of soldiers. In fact India must not miss any opportunity offered by Pakistan or China to further advance its borders into the lost territories of POK and Aksai Chin.

India should do every thing possible to provoke more aggression by Pakistan. These unilateral attacks give a chance for India to gain permanent advantages like it did in OP Meghdoot. It might happen when Pakistan launches Kargil2 or 27/11. India has secret resources inside decision making systems of Pakistan, which can be used to make them decide to carry out more attacks on India.
