Pakistan is using this proxy war since 1990. Indias plan of border fensing , taking the issue to UN doesent seem to be working. It looks amusing that we are giving doseir to them regarding the attacks. Its like giving the proofs to the theif that there was theft and asking him to take action. It is impossible to prevent an attack by only guarding yourself. The enemy is always trying new methods. The only to stop this is, if they kill 20 People you have to kill 20 people . If they kill 100 people you also kill 100. if they kill 10000 you also have to kill 10000. I think this would definitely stop at some point. We should not count killing thier terrorists. we should kill paks army, ISI and common people. If they are not afraid of death we should also be not afraid of death. Use whatever method that works for us but you shoud inflict damage

panipat happened because india was not united
by MANEESH DAVE on Sep 18, 2016 02:17 PM

My ansisters financed from sagar (MP), to Govind Vallabh Pant , "Bundela" , but traiters helped foreign enemy and got him killed, and later sagar was looted for a month by Pindaries. Some nearby rulers were supporting Pindaries. A few big names joined hand with British. Panipat happened due to traiters only.

agree 100% , we need better planning
by MANEESH DAVE on Sep 18, 2016 01:54 PM

Yes, its time to go inside the enemy shelter , forts and finish them with their own weapens, atomic power. We should select very brave few. But how do we find them. There is injustice in selection. No political strength. Unity has strength. Are we united and prepared enough.

There is no Panipat syndrome now. But Amnesty internal and world leaders syndrome prevail. Our military is strong but with tied hands.

We are weakened by our Leftists and media mainly. Adding fuel to the fire are Amnesty and other NGOs. They should be blamed for this

The author somehow has chosen to go in a partisan manner. There is another more important side of our behavior in history which is continuing. Our own men back stab us when there is somebody coming from outside. In the days Alexander it was Ambi and now the other opposition political parties who think they are liberalists who would prefer allow others to come and sit on us than supporting the ruling party. Like Yechuri, for instance, who cannot manage two seats in Parliament talks like he is a very great National Leader. Dr. MMS, for example, who never opened his mouth during his ten year term, now feels free to talk (could be still he uses his master's voice like ever). In Mahabharat there is a famous saying by Yudhisther "When the fight is between Pandavas and Kauravas, we are 5 and 100, but if it is with some outsider, we are 105". This logic is never followed by our politicians.

*When we do fight
by piri on Feb 14, 2016 01:28 PM  | Hide replies

we fight when the invaders reach Panipat and are preparing to knock on the gates of Delhi!*

Till then, of course, we will be busy colluding with the enemy to make crores of rupees in personal wealth by smuggling in drugs and other counterfeit goods across the border to sell to unsuspecting commoners here in India ! (That only a fraction among the Majors, Captains, Colonels, Brigadiers and Generals in the army as well as the BSF do this is beside the point; it is what they do that weaken our resolve and purpose)

*Ours is the defenceless land that was trampled upon and ravaged through the ages by barbarian invaders from the West who poured through the Khyber Pass.

By Alexander the Great of Greece. By Mahmud of Ghazni -- 17 times. By Muhammad Ghori. By Changez Khan. By Timur, the Lame. By the Mughals. By Nadir Shah. By the East India Company that ruled India by pitting Indians against Indians*

And of course, by barbarians long before Alexander the Great - such as nomadic tribesmen hailing from arid and semi-arid regions in Central Asia and West Asia, who poured in through the Khyber Pass in search of water, pastures and fertile land (the Gangetic plain) and who kept attacking natives resident in their paths in innumerable little invasions and displacing them from many regions in the northern parts of the Indian sub-continent (among whom were the communities of the Indus Valley civilization). These nomads, who came in over several thousand years, gradually gave rise to

what is known today as the Vedic civilization - a civilization that was entirely pastoral in setting and had nothing at all to do with the well laid out and highly urbanized and evolved Indus Valley civilization. It is these barbarians who came in much before other barbarians did who have contributed the most to the highly varied raxcial / genetic mix in India - especially in North India.

And despite overwhelming archeological, linguistic, literary and genetic evidences to the contrary, purveyors of the devious propaganda that the first ever intruders (who became settlers in India) into the Indian sub-continent were the Mohammedans in the 10th century CE have consistently persisted with their quips in a style that draws inspiration from the life and work of Goebbels himself !

This thinking is exactly what Macaulay wanted and this mail is indeed a product of that person's education system !

Due to the advancement of technology, it has been proved beyond doubt by modern archaeologists that the Indus . Saraswati civilization was indeed the Vedic civilization.

But then facts can be understood only by people with an open mind....

Legacy of Congress and Gandhi
by sujit chitale on Feb 14, 2016 01:17 PM

This is the exact problem with legacy of Congress and Gandhi from pre-independence

This is the reason that British did not mind releasing 1942 freedom movement leaders as soon it died down but never applied same policy towards Subhash Chandra Bose.... Ataly when in India clearly admitted reasons for British leaving India but never ever our politicians forgot to fools millions of us that we got our freedom because of the so called peaceful struggle for freedom....

Nehru did not understand International politics at all... Always thought how a decision would look like when his name is referenced rather than how a decision would benefit India...

But I shall not say that it is a problem just with Nehru or post Independence leaders...

The problem started right when Ashok assumed Buddhism... Unfortunately we believed too much in stories of old where opponents on battle field were magnanimous to each other... had respect for rules... It did not dawn on us that Kali Yug has actually wiped out all such values...

Under this misunderstanding Prithviraj Chauhan let Mahmood of Gazni twice from his clutches just to die the third time...

Only exception to this timidity rule was Shivaji and then possibly Sambhaji and then in some instances with Sawai Madhavrao who advised Janojirao Bhosale to help Sirajuddoula in battle of Plasi which ofcourse Janojirao did not bother to follow.... A flicker of hope just with NaMo in the way in which he is building relationships..
