It is condemnable that a senior citizen who is an outstanding achiever and has noble intentions has been beaten up allegedly by the Leftists. But believe me that there would have been 100 times more hue and cry if a Right wing party were associated with this dastardly attack
Mr Sreenivasan says the syllabus has been unchanged in Kerala's universities for decades. I worked for 26 years in a university department in Kerala. I was also the head and chairman of the board of studies. I would like to assert that we changed the syllabus quite frequently while I was there. Such sweeping statements show a bit of ignorance on his part.
(This doesn't mean that he should be beaten up, of course!)

Chakravarthi, I was not a teacher in any university or anything but I am a computer engineer. I do see the people who come out of college have no abilities but that is not their mistake but our education system problem where they keep teaching old things and nothing new. We do need to change that and I am with Mr Sreenivasan. The truth is that we have large % of unemployment and it is also truth that large % of our people are unemployable as well (of course in govt may be as competitiveness do not matter there). I think mr Sreenivasan is practical person though I do not know him personally and all

believes in class war and in intolerance . Either you accept their views peacefully otherwise they will force you to do so. That is why once one join Communist Party, find it difficult to leave it due to fear of revenge from other co-party members. the cult of Communism teaches INTOLERANCE.

Over a period of 70 years , India has come a long way .. However considering the size of population vis-a vis the land area , the country need to do more and effectively use its resources to maximize productivity and build a nation with wealth , prosperity and peace .For this country need a futuristic vision with majority buying the same and be part of it . However we have many political parties and their followers including many so called intellects, media houses,student organizations ( name sake student.. mostly rowdy elements who prefer to study ???? till age 35-40 ) who always ensured that people become poor , sick and marry to obsolete ideologies which will take them no where for their own political gain . In this process goondas, mafias and rowdies have become powerful in this country and actually they control this country with educated and law abiding people being their subservient.. This cancer is so deep rooted that curing it will not be possible till such elements are cornered and eradicated completely. unfortunately this is not possible as the educated and progressive people themselves are against it for reasons known to none .... Hence we as a country will go 2 steps ahead to be pulled down 5 steps .... Communism in india is one such element which is struggling with its own ideology and after destroying kerala and bengal , is bent on pulling this country down .. Hearing words like harmony, prosperity from this party full of goons is really surprising ..
