Bollywood celebs may name their son as per preferences. It makes no news for us.
But since it is about Greatest Emperors perhaps the writer and all forget that Emperor Asoka is the only Emperor who was undefeated across the globe and he is the only one who decided not to fight anymore after winning a battle. We all know Kalinga made him remorseful but he won it. His empire stretched far beyond. And as a Peacelover he again conquered the world. So perhaps in all aspects he is the ultimate.

Be pragmatic Mr. Das! Probably there is nothing "good" written about the so called "vastard". Why so much of intolerance (ha ha ha)? It is just a sort of introduction of a warrior who appears in history lessons. IF we can tolerate Raj Thackerays and Nawaz Shariffs and now Trumps, then, these people of yore have done some real things of valour.....unlike our netas who rise to fame without doing anything good or even bad for that matter. And above all tell me which conquerer would not have killed anybody in conquests....and would he have not killed other muslims or christians in his battles. Bewajah ubal rahe ho and intimidating views for a matter which does not have any relevant implication. Hope I am not an anti national due to this remark.
Why so much consideration? Even one of the areas in Delhi is named after Taimur as Taimur Nagar...!!! So where is the problem if someone wants his son to be named Taimur.
Film stars are displaying their bad general knowledge time and again (remember Alia?). It is only natural that they chose someone of "Ruler" community. It was a different thing that Taimur was cruel, despotic and physically handicapped "Langda" conqueror.
