The cyber security is akin to the security of a house with very good locking system. As any lock can be broken under a given situation, cyber security can also be broken under some circumstances like, you leak your pass word,or allow somebody else to operate your phone which gets payment verification codes. At the level of net transactions the data flow is very secure with 256 bit encryption. But the risk when the user allows his passwords or phone given to others.

i use to get calls from so called caller from SBI telling me to convert reward points in cash, or some verification is going on etc and ask for expiry date of my card and other details......

when i contacted SBI help desk guys they told me we never ask any details which are printed on your card. if some one ask you these details then its a scammer. be alert!!!!!!!

now whenever i gets a call i use to tell them wait iam in front of a police station and talk to the inspector, they immediately disconnect the call

Somebody's fun somebody's funeral!!! You carry on with your jokes. SBI issued Credit Card, and before it is received by the client, it is hacked. How do you explain this ?

Safety of digital transactions
by Sane Voice on Mar 31, 2017 04:48 PM  | Hide replies

There is no fool-proof safety for Digital transactions. So are cash transactions which have their own draw backs. Only difference is that fraudsters in respect of cash transactions have to be there at the scene of crime where as digital transactions frauds can be committed from anywhere in the world. More over to switch over to digital transactions on such a large scale and with such a great haste, all of a sudden, with a large part of our population woefully ignorant about usage of digital platforms, passwords, password secrecy, etc, and with our police force not equipped with sufficient equipment and manpower to handle digital crimes, it is going to be a field day for fraudsters. The fact that IT-advanced states like Karnataka and Maharastra have not shown much progress in cracking digital cases indicates the level of preparedness and expertise our cyber crime police possess. No doubt the government is rushing into areas filled with mine-fields where angels fear to tread.

Let your voice be for the good of the nation!!! I also learnt from the office of SBI Card that hackers do not require OTP to hack credit/debit cards from abroad.
