Why not in courts! If SC orders national anthem in cinema... They should practice what they preach!

No disrespect to the National anthem but originally the national anthem was composed to eugolized King George V.

'Jana Gana Mana' was first sung in 1911 in praise of King George V. Tagore was awarded with Knighthood in 1915 by the King. Though, Tagore vehemently backtracked that in 1937 (after King's death in 1936) and denied that it was meant for the Emperor George V.

However the Translation of the all the five stanza (national anthem is the first stanza) of his Brahmo hymn 'Bharot Bhagyo Bidhata' reveals who the supreme King it was devoted to...

National Anthem

National Anthem deserves respect not order. I dont think that singing national anthem in private events will do any value addition to patriotism. It should be made mandatory before the starting of any national event.

there is nothing "wrong" in thinking patriotically even if some others may not agree.....like in this case that the Supreme Court has decided against making it mandatory, which is also perfectly ok.

Just to harress people.
by Domnic A on Dec 02, 2016 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

First PM stopped use of currency notes n now the court order to respect National Anthem. It is just to haress people n make mockery of our own national anthem like our national flag which is found on roads n gutters after 15 Aug n 26 Jan.
The National Anthem should be made compulsary in all courts n Parliments before proceedings n also in Mantralya at a fixed time in mornings. Y haress only common people. Let the law makers also get the feelings of common man

If you see a filthy movie, why to endorse our sacred national anthem to it. Courts are related to government activity, why not sing anthem before proceeding?

modi should start first
by on Dec 02, 2016 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

when modi comes out of house he should sing national anthem and then start work and not drink heavily and speak

modi also drinks like mann and then speaks.

what about the parliament why national anthem is not in parliament or in government offices first coming into the offices they should do national anthem.

modi knows people will stop going to films if he insists for national anthem it happened last time also whne bjp insisted people stoped going to the films.

and now government officers are aking for 2000 rupees notes as under table money and modi says corruption has ended

In 2024 also they will continue writing their story of 2002 and will conveniently forget 1984 due to lack of long memory.
