INDIA MUST CONSISTENTLY STICK TO MIX OF OPTION 1AND 2-III
by damodaran mohan on Dec 01, 2016 06:40 PM  | Hide replies

(CONTD.)Thus in the short run option 1 is best suited to keep escalating at the borders to just below the war threshold with only handful of Army casualties w/o worrying about getting drawn into option 2 of war. Option 1 will have one more two fold advantage a)that of containing and eliminating the local K-terror elements who too appear to be involved getting direction from across the borders. In fact Pak panelists, the ex-Army men and diplomats on prime time TV debates are pointing to theses local K-terrorists and I feel it cannot be rejected outright as our News anchors are doing. In fact in the border warfare this is one advantage Pak is having over India as we do not have such elements in POK while Pak has them in Indian IOK. b)India must ask the mainstream parties in K—NC,PDP,CPM….and the Kashmiri elite—civil society, media etc. to take responsibility too to control and turn these elements over to law. At least they should look the other way conveniently if not conniving when these elements indulge in anti-India activities as prelude to becoming Burhan Wanis. To summarize, the Modi govt. appears to be on the right path choosing option 1 but will have to escalate the level of ‘sugical strikes’ a tad more to the extent feasible w/o worrying about consequences. Besides, take other steps against Pak like cancel MFN status, close down or downgrade the Ind & PC levels, stop all cultural, sports ties etc.,isolate Pak in international world e

(contd.)..world etc. Finally India must also take immediate steps to stop total shut down of CPEC corridor activities in POK and ask China ih no uncertain terms to vacate POK forthwith lock stock and barrel till India and Pak find a permanent solution to K-issue. Absolutely no compromise on that CAUTION: Never ever India make the mistake of regressing back into option 3 to which Pak is eagerly looking to.

INDO-PAK 3 SCENARIOS AND OPTIONS FOR INDIA-II
by damodaran mohan on Dec 01, 2016 06:33 PM  | Hide replies

(contd.)Thus, going by the Indo-Pak conundrum since independence there are three scenarios:1.The current phase of a Hot LOC/border ceasefire violations with regular army and civilian casualties keeping escalations just below the ‘war threshold’.2.Depending upon the relative retributions from either side to escalate to a full scale War.3.Post Kargil like a phony level of peace period along the borders/LOC as it prevailed for Yr 2000 to 2015 with both countries apparently looking on friendly terms with cultural exchanges, cricketing ties etc. but India suffering 26/11 and many other dastardly terror attacks in towns across the country with hundreds of civilian casualties. So when Sartaz Atiz comes up with yet another ‘unconditional dialogue’ offer post Nagrota it is obvious Pak wants to roll back to option 3 which suits them best to keep the K-pot boiling even while keeping India at tenterhooks. It also suits the ‘peaceniks’ and the track-II cocktail circuit, the Indian elite Bollywood, politicians, journos…who can have good time travelling, building career and merrymaking at nation’s cost. However it is the worst option for India because it has long time detrimental effect on India as a whole. Besides, this is the best option for Pak to play the other K(Khalistan) card surreptiously even as whole of India is lulled into Pak friendly deceit. So what is the only option for India? Evidently it is a mix of short run option 1and

INDIA MUST GET OUT OF THIS DIALOGUE RUT ONCE AND FOR ALL-I
by damodaran mohan on Dec 01, 2016 06:25 PM  | Hide replies

The question India should ask itself is if it wants to remain in the Indo-Pak hyphenation of the last 15-20 yrs of the so called 'unconditional-dialogue' offer post cross-border terror attacks cycle for eternity w/o any productive results or India wants to get out of this rut once and for all! Why ? Bescause Pak is not interested in any K-solution .It only wants to keep the K-pot boiling to hit India through terror even while looking for the other K(Khalistan) card escalation taking advantage of a ‘phony’ Ind-Pak peace period .To be fair to Modi govt. after the spectacular failure of its initial 2 yrs of reach out to Pak as continuation of past policies it did try the more pro-active limited ‘surgical strikes’ perhaps more as a ‘sounding board trial’ to send a message of India’s changed intent and to know the level and intensity of retribution than expecting the deep state to wind down completely. In fact it would be foolish to expect the latter and going by the latest Nagrota terror attack taken together with Pak govt. official utterances on Kashmir since the UNGA it is time to chart a ‘long-haul’ Pak policy that doesn’t regress repeatedly into ‘dialogue’ mode as stated above. Once Pak PM says K would be part of Pakistan one day, that B/wani is a martyr, Kashmiri youth would lead the freedom struggle etc. etc.it is evident he is implying that Pak aided terror would continue although not saying in

Talk and fake is Pakistan
by R ponnabalam on Dec 01, 2016 03:14 PM  | Hide replies

All these talks are mere "theatre">Pakistan is serious on it's business of religious propagation as Jinnah has said he wanted not a piece of land but a laboratory of religion. In politics people discuss statecraft not religious doctrines. The Stan land culture of Sword ,even the original stanland might have given up. But the Stanland implanted in INDIAN SOIL by stanlanders is bent on spreading their culture religion etc by sword, bombs in INDIA and want sare HinduSTAN for them ,starting from its neighbourhood ie Kashmir of India.Nothing good has come out by talking other than military attacks in various forms. The heavens will not fall. Pakistan has BIG POWERS to support .There is no alternative but for us to become strong .
