Plucking Mangoes in Sept/Oct? Mango season from March to June/Jul (raw to ripe). running wild in mustard fields in Sept/Oct (Mustard season again in winter - Dec/Jan to Feb March)?? These authors are not at all authentic.

The mango season may not be the same everywhere. In Kerala we sometimes see mango trees blooming in October. If these flowers survive to become fruit (I admit that it is unlikely) then it would be much earlier than we expect.

But the author writes that she did this during Durga Puja in Bengal.
