Just because of these pilgrims from TN & AP, it is earning money. If you count total pilgrims, Malayalies will be just 10%. Due to the these adjacent states, it became famous. Visiting sabarimala has just picked in last decade. Before that it has no importance.

Well, actually, malayalis made up about 27 % of the total pilgrims who visited the shrine in the 2015-16 season.
And what do you imply by saying that pilgrims from TN and AP give the temple most of its revenue ?
That they can continue to defecate in the open and make the place a vast minefield of excreta right through the season ?

That fact only proves that the Kerala State food inspectorate keeps doing its duty without being derailed by corruption, right ?
And what is it that makes the state food inspectorate so active ?
It is the vigilant press and the even more vigilant common people in Kerala, right ?
As for the other states, well, how many commoners are really aware that there is something called the state food inspectorate ??
As for the other states, well, the health department data are too glaring for anyone to delude himself that they are as clean as Kerala is, right ?
Any idea what the statistics are regarding the mortality (number of deaths) in other states due to diarrhea, dysentery, gastro enteritis, cholera, typhoid, cervical cancer, etc. - all diseases that are directly related to personal hygiene ??
Just spend a few minutes looking up data on these statewise over the past few years and find out how Kerala compares with other Indian states in hygiene !!
It is well worth the effort to correct self delusions !

Yet immensely cleaner and its people much more aware and vigilant than any other Indian state, right ?
Want me to provide the data regarding those diseases state wise quoting sources ?
