NO, not at all.I have hardly seen a new clinic opened in our locality in past twenty years. Population has gone upto 10 times. Main reason behind this is a totally failed government policy. We provide subsidised education to medical students and after doing MBBS most of them switched to other countries for higher education and never come back to India. Government should come out with a policy that any student taking professional education like medical, engineering, administrative from government colleges should serve atleast 10 years in India or has to pay some handsome amount to government(most of the countries are doing like that). It will definitely help in retention of professionals and the problems will automatically will be sorted out. MORE COLLEGES SHOULD BE OPENED FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS.
YES THERE ARE MORE THAN REQUIRED DOCTORS IN THE STATE BUT THERE IS LACK UP MIND TO SERVE RATHER MIND TO EARN IS EXCESSIVE,DUE TO CORRUPTED GOVERNMENT MACHINERY.NOW A DAYS DOCTORS ARE COLLECTING MONEY FROM DEAD PERSONS IN INDIA ONLY.

actually nuts like you think like this because people these days have enough money to spend on hotels, movies and outings.long queues are seen in front of restaurants but when it come to paying medical bills everybody feels its a waste.
It is painful in tamilnadu, political regional party players, dravidian party forms, that is non brahamins forum does not want any entrance test for medical and engineering, already standard of engg education, and medical education has come down in TN,because of no entrance test, all unscruplous castiest elements of political parties are doctors,no standard of doctors in TN,In the recent scenario, the students who are going to IIT IS ONLY 160, Whereas in A.P, 1300 Students, in Telangana 1800 students, TN Education is going down because of scrapping of entrance exam,if regional party govt scraps one by one, why there is a examinations, all are doctors, all are engineers, political parties for want of votes from non brahamnic grounds BC,MBC,SC, they are doing for votes and spoiling education in TN.

Like maturing love you need to grind before you commit to check endurance, similarly medical and engineering should only be allowed after BSc. We are putting students with H.S. level education and this is causing neither the student is prepared to absorb high quality education nor matured enough to make serious effort. If taken after BSc at least their level of science knowledge will be higher and also filter our who are not fit enough to go for such education. However yes merit has no alternate but it is better to put person according to interest and capability. Present entrance test are how fool proof is questionable.

SACHINRANE: Commented as if only brahmins are brilliant and others are lesser comparatively. Had it been noticed who are toping the plus 2 exams for a period of 15-20 years non brahmin students are fairing more than the referred community. Normally for a medical seat the least cut off is between 198-198.5 - If analysed more number of BC & MBC students got selected in that span which restricts or reduce the number of candidates from the referred community. If really referred community is more brilliant as to why those people are not getting more in IITs while it is compared with Andhra. It is agreeable that the quality of education seems to have come down because of govt policies in TN, does not mean that the parents allow their wards' quality of knowledge to go down.
It is distressed to note that only TN, Karnatak and Kerala seems to have more doctors per a lakh people. Though Maharashtra have more number of doctors but not upto its requirement. Other north Indian states perform very little inclusive of Delhi.

Of course many people still have faith with traditional medicines like Siddha, Ayur Vedic etc. but the life expectancy rate is very less if compared with Kerala and TN
i humbly request to govt, central, health ministry - please STOP cross practice. HOMOPATHY N AYURVEDIC DOCTORS are now allowed to do pharmacology certificate as suggested by central, govt... i personally suggest, please donot allow this. this will bring down the QUALITY of treatment received by common man. AYURVEDIC , HOMOEOPATHY N ALLOPATHY DOCTORS should be allowed to do strictly only respective field practice. n this will create good INTERNATIONAL HUB of ayurved, homoeopath n allopathy in INDIA. in short will be MAKE IN INDIA. ALSO GIVE atleast PADMA BHUSHAN TO doctors one each from above 3 field each for excellent human service.... that will be great.... please no cross pathy... it is total mess/ blunder.... in my survey 80 percent of common man who visit their doctor, dont know degree of doctor, they are happy bcoz they get result.... yes... u may be surprized... if i was health minister , i will never allow such masala practice ....i hope govt will think over this future health crisis in INDIA.... my maan ki baat-- there are cases of swine flue in some pockets of INDIA, I REQUEST common man to stay at home or visit nearby doctor, but stay at home, take complete treatment, then only go to job. this will prevent it from spreading, it is called QUARRANTINE. which some people dont talk on maan ki baat. in public health interest....
