If a group of people can dictate how an individual would singlehandedly carry on with the struggle against the laws prevalent in the society, then there is no option left for the individual for exercising free choice to achieve the good.
When there is no free choice, only compulsion in the act, the goal or the action is more likely to be beneficial only to the select group of persons manipulating the act; and it is more likely that the goal would not prove to be so good for the masses.
