With 1.3 billion consumers, India's market has great potential. It could boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi's political legacy and gives him a better chance at a second term. Most importantly, it could add momentum to the world's already fastest growing economy. According to HSBC estimates, the reform will add 0.8 percentage points to the country's growth within three to five years.
