But Ambassador Sreenivasan appears to have imbibed not only the utility of the hire and fire arrangement, he is so drunk with the spirit of such arrangements that he recently went up to the govt of Kerala (the erstwhile one led by Oommen Chandy) and got it to endorse his attempt at bringing private universities to Kerala !
Talk of losing ones bearings or getting disoriented to the extreme!
And what followed was all too predictable. The Ambassador carried his enthusiasm for private universities one bit too far and proceeded to get knocked down by irate student activists in broad daylight right in the heart of his revered Thiruvananthapuram city, not far from the Ganesha temple he referred to in this article !
