Sooner or later USA would realize
by Rajan Sodankur on Apr 30, 2016 10:32 PM

that its relationship to invest in in India, collaborate with it and strengthen it would fetch greater returns to USA than any other country in the world, on the contrary to supply war equipment to or invest in roggue nations like Pak or dictatorial regimes like China would be suicidal; the terror elements supported by these countries tacitly and directly would become stronger and would come back to haunt USA soon to make it bankrupt. If USA is smart it would learn its lessons of history of once strong and now nearly weak Russia, Greece, Italy Spain, Portugal, Venezuela about the effects of bad leadership

....in search of clean and honest livelihoods, that brought BJP-Led-NDA to a thumping majority in governance, identifying with a globally progressive community and now taking well-earned pride in seeing Modi as the perfect co-ordinator between India and the developed world (USA, UK, Japan, Germany, France , Australia and a lot more) promoting trade, commerce and goodwill around the world . The results are bound to comein sevral forms....

Modi invited to the US
by daniel thorat on Apr 29, 2016 10:41 PM  | Hide replies

Promoting shared values and increased prosperity with the US are quite normal things said about such a visit. No doubt, Modi talking to the joint meeting of the US Congress is a matter of honour to our PM. However, it is also clear that the US couldn`t have missed on finding out what all things can be done with India, during the past decades. The only thing that should matter to us and to the whole world is whether the US can shed its reluctance in taking bold actions about destroying the terror, and in telling China to withdraw its veto on Masood. If that does not get talked about and shared openly by the US, the whole meeting could simply mean a diplomatic pleasantry, with some personal image building up at home.

Your comment smells of an attempt to downplay the yet unseen benefits of goodwill building for trade and commerce, information-exchange, and many undeclared objectives, other than formation of sustained strategic alliances.

No. Not really. Comments are balanced and genuinely stated. Yes, Modi govt and their foreign affair's needs to think and recalibrate their policies with Pak and China. This is an opportunity for India to state it explicitly to US to help India by forcing Pak and China to come in line.

It was, I think, the Gujarat pogrom of the minorities in 2002 which had caused denial of visa to Modi. There was no continuous or occasional abuse by Congress. The US withdrew the visa ban because Modi had become the PM of a great country like India.

Congress played it's role in US denying visa to Modi then. No doubt on it.

He will cry, why only Modi is invited . I am the CM of Delhi , which is the capital of India, therefore i should get the first chance.
Modi has played behind my back , to prevent me from the invite.

How rightly you have implied how the US is missing on something ! But, being absolutely down to earth, Kejriwal knows he will be invited in due time and he will speak things that matter.
