Indians lack self respect. Why else should they care about a royalty from a country that ruled and impoverished you. When British ruled India, some streets had signs "Indians and Dogs not allowed". An American who visited India in 1908 Sutherland wrote an article in "The Atlantic" succinctly telling us how India was impoverished. More than 20 million Indians died of starvation in the last half of 19th century and 2 million died in Bengal famine (1942) alone. One British white woman was molested in Amritsar in 1919. General Dyer thought it fit to teach Indians a lesson. How could lowly Indians even touch a white woman? He marched with Gurkha regiment into Jalianwala Bagh ordering the troops to fire on unarmed civilians. More than 2000 bullets were fired, 700 died, rest injured. Anyone arguing British rule was good for India is a moron.

William Henry Sleeman, after whom the town of Sleemanabad is named, was loved by one and all around him for his service beyond the call of duty! He was the architect of the modern Indian police force. It is amazing that, while General Dyer comes to your mind, persons like Sleeman do not! The railways, Dams, magnificent government buildings, stately railway stations like Bombay VT, posts and telegraphs, educational institutions and the English language were the rich legacy of the British to Indians (whether intended as such or not!). Think of the good outcomes too that have arisen because of the interaction (or clash, in your words) between two different cultures! A whole new genre of literature has been spawned by this interaction, with many Indians going on to become eminent writers in English! Even today, the British sponsor Indian students and scholars for for their higher education through a host of munificent scholarships and fellowships. If you had an ounce of gratefulness for all these, you wouldn't keep harping only on the negatives of British rule! In fact, do you realize that you could abuse the British in English in this forum solely because of the English education (and western technology) that you might have received at school and college? I'd rather say that hateful and unforgiving people like you are the real bigoted idiots and morons!
Will this British Family apoligise for atrocities done on Indians such as jallianwala massacre,Pune plague atrocities, looting of poor farmers, labourers, woman and children.

For that to happen, Indians especially sickulars(congress, communists, DMK, missionaries, jihadis etc) must give up their slave mentality....
Compare this with China where they are proud of their culture, nation, and civilization.....whereas these sickulars are ashamed of their own culture, nation, and civilization!!!

Will Indian kings, hindu-muslem rulers, politicians apologise for the atrocities that they have done for centuries on the people of this land ?
Are you going to recover for the damages which they have done in the past from their relatives which are living today ?
Whatever India's position in the world today is due to British People.
Had they not ruled India, India would continued to be a highly undisciplined, illiterate, superstitious, unhygienic & medieval mind-set country.
Railways, Democracy, Laws, Constitution, Eradication of inhuman & barbaric rituals such as Sati, liberal & rational thinking....all these and many more things are the favour doen by British's on India.
Otherwise India would have remained a third world, illiterate country like some African or Muslem country under the influence of some medieval religious outdated rituals & superstitions.
