Bharat Mataki Jay !
by systems technologies on Apr 07, 2016 04:15 PM  | Hide replies

I donot know if Ms Warrier reads these commnets. But the issue is not as she is thinking.
I also donot chant BMJ every day & every time, but sincerely, I donot feel that I am threatened. According to me, both RSS or BJP are not demanding to say BMJ every now & then, and they are not judging patriotism on the same.
Though I dont chant BMJ, I attend the flag hoisting on 15 Aug & 26 Jan at a nearby school, and after the flag hoisting, if some one calls "Bharat Mataki ", I involuntarily join saying "Jay". The issue is - if some one starts arguing about the propriety of the slogan, and whether this alone can be chanted, etc. the things get messed up.
If at all one wants, saying "I say Jai Hind, and I feel I am patriotic" is enough, there is no need of "I wont chant BMJ even if a knife is put on my neck" etc., etc. is all politics.
I felt at least Ms. Warrier should take an understanding approach instead of confrontionist, that is why this comment is.
I need to state that I am not follower of RSS/BJP, neither I feel that whatever they argue is all correct. But when we can not agree 100% even with Mahatma Gandhi, why expect such 100% conformance with others ?

varied religious and regional practices
by s kumar on Apr 07, 2016 02:22 PM

are prevalent all over the country for many centuries by indegenous hindu people. Practices and language of cow belt cannot be sole representation of national spirit .. I have voted for BJP and my expectation from their top leadership is - first to stop this loud mouths before they damage BJP severely -they are trying to define their own regional version as national spirit and seek to impose these on all regions. This will be a big problem for BJP to spread as a pan-india -national party .RSS has already realised this and clarified on this issue of bharat mata ..
