Shame on jumping into conclusions and not allowing the contractors to speak. It is a consturction which is supposed to be in place for many years to come and no one in the right frame of mind would shoddily build it. What were people doing under the construction when it is supposed to be off-limits. How was parking allowed under the bridge while it was being built? It is an accident and the wise thing to do is find out the real reasons behind it and then pin-point the blame. Its ridiculous to not allow the construction company to not even utter a word defending themselves! This is mob justice.
With all due respect to those unfortunates to have been at the wrong place at the wrong time.
It is a case of corruption negligence. Day light murder of 20 people. Corruption cannot be completely eradicated with current system but contracts please be little sensitive when it comes to human life

They were going to limit arresting powers of police what happened. Tomorrow all Indians will be in jails if more accidents happen.
It is the joint responsibility of construction co along with govt supervisory and administrative officer and they must also be arrested and not only person from construction co.

I rule out that possibility. The factor of safety in design is excessively Large. Staging - temporary supports gave in - Usually this is the problem.
