I live in Silicon Valley. B S Prakash was one of the best Consul Generals we have had. Sad to say, or glad to say, I haven\'t seen a better one since. This was a man who was accountable - he responded to critics and took action. I am not surprised to find him having a good grasp of Modi\'s intentions in coming to Silicon Valley.
My take on the question "Should we not be concentrating on agriculture and manufacturing, on job creation and skill upgradation instead of all the fancy stuff?". Technology, of the kind innovated in Silicon valley is not "fancy stuff", and is what is precisely necessary for "agriculture, manufacturing, job creation and skill upgradation". It's only the woolly-headed skeptics who think otherwise.

Definitely Technology, Innovation, Make in India (manufacturing) as well as Agriculture revolution should be the focus for refueling our inclusive growth
Technology & Innovation - Digital India Govt should immediately replace few of the 2G band with 4G
Manufacturing - Make in India Our immediate focus should be linking ISRO, DRDO, Industry and Premier Institutes to promote R&D and IPR Automobile, Aeronautics, Rockets, Missiles, Satellites, Renewable Energy Products, Computer Hardware etc can be our immediate focus
Agriculture revolution - Organic Products Agriculture product export should be promoted irrespective of short term price hike due to higher demands. Instead of controlling Agriculture product export, we should focus on how to produce more for the market demands. Our Agriculture industry becomes sick industry since our Govt started controlling the market exposure thru closed economy, we have Big opportunity if we reestablish East Indian Company business
Except 30 minutes WiFi free at some railway stations, there is nothing much on the ground.Yes, there are various photo opportunities with many Company heads-only future will tell how many of them going to open their shops here in India.

This article gives good account of what was achieved during the visit and is a favourable account of PM's visit. I find nothing which is anti Modi. Good article and good perspective.
This kind of write up was expected from electronic media like Rediff, it is behaving consistently against PM Modi, for who they want to work, for progressive India or India going back like Pakistan in 7th century??..whole world knows but the congress fed Rediff doesn't know about it. it is just not wonder, we will not let Rediff's favorite Rahul or Congress to rule India till NaMo Exists in this country..does the freedom of expression means new low every other day?? connecting to the villages with the center or state government is the idea behind digital India, so please don't mislead poor villagers by your absurd & narrow mind write ups, we know who is funding you after all, you will never win.. even if you use Pakistan for that..I strongly condemn this write up, the person was simply bureaucrat who makes the rules for governments in such a way that "xyz is accepted provided abc is valid...or abc is valid subject to xyz" or "this applicable only for those who are xyz caste.. under xyz age & xyz gender & xyz income group" Indian rules are filled with such conditions & Bureaucrats wants to keep it with them ,which NaMo knows very well that they are master of confusion after all & he has already started bypassing them, that's where all problem starts & this analytical report is coming out.
