thus far, Narendra Modi has steadfastly been a climate change sceptic, even venturing once to suggest that the perception of climate change is caused by people getting older !

Given the steep commitments he has towards the crony capitalists who have surrounded him for long and for whom he has requisitioned vast quantums of national resources and intends to requisition more national resources (land, water, forests, minerals...), it has always been a tough proposition for Modi to seriously consider measures such as cutting down on coal mining, clearing forests, leveling mountains, damming up rivers........and burning up coal to give them all cheap electricity to convert those resources into corporate wealth, it would be very tough for him to be anything other than a climate sceptic.

And this climate sceptic stands today on a UN podium and brays out loud and clear that addressing climate change ought to be a shared responsibility between nations !!

Perhaps even Modi could understand that braying out that climate change is just a perception of people getting older might not be such a smart thing to do at the UN as it might be in India !

A Congress stooge wanting no development and improvement in peoples lives. Good thing Modi doesn't care for this lot and is going ahead with his mission.

It is hardly makes any difference whether we are in UNSC or not. First thing be our priority to uplift the living standard of common people of our country. Govt should spend more on education, health, infrastructure and employment generation. Other things will take care of itself.

We have been hearing the same argument since independence. Who ruled for all these years? Why don't you give up all the modern gadgets and technology and go back to Gandhi's days?

UN IS A TOTAL FAILURE SIMPLY BECAUSE IT REPRESENT THE THE 5 WORLD POWERS AND NO POWER TO ANY OTHER NATIONS. THESE WORLD POWERS ARE SYSTEMATICALLY ATTACKING NATIONS IN VARIOUS PRETEXT, KILLING CIVILIANS AROUND THE WORLD, THE REST OF THE NATIONS ARE JUST WATCHING. ALL THE OTHER NATIONS SHOULD FORM A NEW UN WITHOUT THE WORLD POWERS. NO WAR / ATTACK BY ANY NATION SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF MAJORITY OF NATIONS.
