vali and dynasty
by raman govindan on Nov 01, 2015 01:59 PM

coteries ascribed any positive doing, acts, imaginative policy, execution of the other leaders in the congress to the Dynasty. It was like vali of Ramayana "who got he boon that he had received, according to which anyone who fought him in single-combat lost half his strength to Vali, thereby making Vali invulnerable to any enemy. it was not a boon to Nehru or the dynasty, but spineless other leaders of the congress who made it possible!

else, china would have taken over sikkim and full NE from India. It was not a trade-off with pakistan, rather with china.

I hope if you read between the lines of his diary, you will see this truth.

Moreover, this diary is like a wikileaks cable. It also stresses that '65 was only a mnemonic (namesake) victory. The issue of India's encirclement was very well identified THEN itself.

Alas, the leaders thereafter (50 yrs), didn't do ANYTHING to address this issue, and china kept tightening its grip.

The real enemy of India is China, of which we discuss or prepare so little about.

India has stayed so much occupied with its defence, that it's forgotten nearly everything about offence. While offence was the prime reason India was famous for in its historical domination of the world in the medieval past - a thing the corrupt system doesn't want Indians to realize so that they don't rise to their potential.

YBC was the more natural and appropriate choice as PM of India
by nilesh patil on Sep 23, 2015 01:44 PM

Y B Chavan was a better and natural choice as PM after shastrijee. However, the congress did not do the justice with him causing many future problems in the country. We are always unaware of the real hero the country has produced.

Men of Metal

Both Lal Bahadur Shastri & Y.B.Chavan were stalwarts from an era when India produced selfless giants as politicians not the selfish pygmies of today. Compare Y.B.Chavan with his protege Sharad Pawar both Marathas and you will under5stand what is being spoken of.

Sino-Indian-PAK WAR cud be the 3rd WW
by Vivek Srivastava on Sep 22, 2015 09:34 PM

It is quite a surprise to see how the observations about Sino-Pak alliance made above hold true even today. What have our leaders done to prevent being in a situation like this in the last 50 years? Both, China and Pak have moved way far ahead, China a super power and Pak a best Side-kick of two super powers. The question is what can India do now looking at our weak position in this sub-continent with poorly equipped armed forces, politics and corruption. Even if economy so called is booming, we become a much more enticing prey. The only possibilities I see are, close relationships-including support during war with NATO alliance, US -I don'thave an idea as they openly never support and are scared of China themselves, Russia is gone to China already, garlanding these two concentrically and retaliating with full force in limited settings NE, Kashmir,Laddakh and ceasing diplomatic ties with PAK and gradually with its allies. China is progressing because of its economy which needs to be curbed to block its military might.IT'S TIME TO ACT and I AM Sure PM is very much geared to lead all this. Additionally, compulsory military training to all citizens below 58 which will also teach us a lot of discipline.
