The eyewash and marketing govt claimed great victory in the media but essentially did nothing. Now all bhakts who have gulped down the news think that the army veterans are villians. They are not buying the hollow words of the govt. how can they not be part of the media glare and marketing material? irrespective of what they get out of their dharna, they should be happy about the marketing material aired on all news channels. how can they continue the stir. I think they don't like the comforts of their home and hence sleeping on the roads.

by K Bhaskaran on Sep 08, 2015 11:05 AM  | Hide replies

Who is playing the joke Mr. Shah. The Congress or the BJP. The PM downwards the Ministers and BJP leaders claim that Namo has fulfilled his poll promise. Then why "Ex-servicemen continue with relay hunger strike". Where do we stand now, Mr. Shah?

These people are proved to be much more greedier. Anyway, they are also humen. One day they also have to die, why not now? let them be in fast until death. While in service, the officers in Indian Army indulge corruption and they are the highly corrupts. Whereas the Jawans, who are struggling and treated them as slaves by these officers. The Jawans are the only deserving for any benefits.

OROP protests
by Narayan Krishna on Sep 08, 2015 05:51 AM  | Hide replies

It is a sad affair that the veterans are carried away by words of some Opposition politicians and resort to protests. The present govt has been sincere in its approach.approach. Take the declaration at face value and if there are anomalies these could be sorted out from time to time. They should remember that they are in much better position with the govt offering various concessions like travel facilities thru pout life, housing, subsidised food items. Please compare these with people who retired from private employment. Except for a lump sum payment of their PF dues and some exgratia, they are just left to fend for themselves. So in the interest of the Nation please do not get carried away by the wily opposition parties.

Or is it sad that the public is carried away by the marketing material aired on news channels? the veterans and their needs can take a backseat, the govt has delivered is what has been pushed down the throats of general public.
