CHILDREN , SHOULD KNOW THEIR COUNTRIES PAST , HISTORY SUBJECT IN SCHOOL SHOULD BE TAUGHT WELL , IN AN INNOVATIVE WAY TO INTEREST CHILDREN .HISTORY PLAYS A VITAL ROLE , IN PRESERVING OUR HERITAGE .
Why value these people who destroyed the culture of this holy land. Not against any religion. Dr. APJ Kalam did a great service to thios mother land. Naming a road in his name, is just a token of respect for this great man. Take other Moghuls one by one and remove their bad memories. It is we poor Indians who even after independance keep on honouring such people who made us suffer a lot in past.
Dont you remember he killed so many to aquire lands and expand his empire? he killed his own bro as well, he converted hindus to buddhist, how he became hero and aurangazeb villlain? coz of religion?
He nearly burst the myth of Chatxrapati Shivxajis invincibility in war.
He failed in that only because Shixvaji died just at the point when he was about to defeat him and either kill him or take him prisoner again!
Had Shivxaji lived for at least one year more (ie had he lived for at least an year beyond 1680 CE), there would not have been this mythology of Chatxrapati Shivxaji in India today. He would not have become a hero or a major railway station would not have been named after him. He would not even have had a political party today named after him.
He would have counted just as one more little king who had lost to the Mugxhals.
It is another matter that Auranxgzeb caught and executed Shivxajis son Sambxhaji soon after Shivaxjis death. Shivxaji had lost 20 of the 22 prominent forts held earlier by him to the Mughals when he died.
Chatrxapati Shivxaji is one king in Indian history who owes almost all his fame in modern day India to the fact that he died just at the point of losing a war and almost certainly getting killed.

If you don't have knowledge about Chatrapati Shivaji then don't write anything about him. Your hatred about him clearly shows but people like you keep on trying to mud-sling him he will remain one of the greatest worrier in history.
