Cong PM Rajiv gandhi ostracised writer Salman Rushdie in 1986. Again in 2012, PM Manmohan ostracised Rushdie from Jaipur Litfest. Zubin is referring to these incidents.

Modi Didn't do any of these.

When is the last date for returning the award? Is it after Bihar elections?
Suggestions for scholars: keep some awards for Uttar Pradesh elections also. Drama should continue... Part 1,2,3... For every election!

On this issue Modi's stance was right & justified. The rest does all in interest of coaxing the Mohammedans for electoral gains - they are all hypocrite. Don't Mohammedans know them?

"They all know it but they are of double standards, in simple words Dogalas. Writers are free to return their awards. It is stil their freedom. Did gvt ask them to return the awards ? Or gvt asked them to take the awards back ? No. So they are doing what comes to them as freedom. This gvt is doing great. It is just handiwork of some anti national Kaungi elements who are disrupting the peace of the country as they do not have any other job but to indulge in spreading hatred. Where else in the world Majority suffers at the expense of keeping minority happy ? It is only India"
