Mr. Aakar Patel may be right to the extent of his articles. But one important point he has not mentioned is that the Hindus did not give their thought to the constant improvement of their armoury and military and that is what others have done, resulting in the militarsation of their thought process, unlike Hindus who devoted their thought to only spiritual and cultural things! Even the latter days Forts were a mere copying of the Mughal and other foreign conquerors.
OK, Mr. Patel let me put it this way. Peaceful, does not mean impotent people. Cows, goats, elephants, bulls are all peaceful animals, do not they have their bad days? Next, how many countries are tolerant like ours? The Mughals and the British left behind their culture and successors in this land for Mother India to nurse and nurture alien culture, forming almost 30% of the Indian population. Allowing them to follow their religious practices including slaughtering cow, a sacred animals for the Hindus. Hindus are tolerant from a plus viewpoint but equally careless and unpatriotic when it comes to preserving their culture, tradition and philosophies. This carelessness is the consequence for the gradual deterioration in our way of life. We are following the eating habits and life style of our alien enemies who rules over us for many centuries. We have seperate laws for the minorities and treat minorities at par. Let me see Mr. Patel how you go and slaughter a Swine in Pakistan, leave alone In Saudi Arabia. They will deport you with your head in your hand and not on your shoulder.

In last 65 years in majority of cases - one can find minority always attacked first on majority including Gujrat riots or Muzaffarnagar riots, no doubt when mob attacks minority, they do not have any alternate except to run. But how correction can be done. Minority is to win the trust of majority. Tolerance is always from both the sides.
