First of all FTII students should not have to go on strike for so many days as Shri Gajendra Chauhan is from your filmy fraternity only and decent human being. If you fail in your career, it does not mean you will fail in another career or job. Many examples are there,if one fail in actor job, becomes successful in directors job.
Why did they do now ? why did they provoke FTII students and used them as pawns ? they wasted 139 valuable days of students by provoking them to organise Strike , when they did not achieve their aim, now they are showing their err, by surrendering their awards. In fact this camp or their friends(left oriented people) were holding the top posts in most of the part of the country, and made ransom the whole country, since having the patronage of Corrupt Congress. Now they are exposed , so they are feeling annoyed , but we know now their true colors. They are still playing politics and have least care for the country and the society.
Who decides the appointments? Does it require student's approval? How students are so confidant that Mr. Gajendra Chauhan is not capable to head FTII without giving him an opportunity to work? I think the students were instigated by the Film Industry veterans including those who are returning awards now as their agenda would not materialise under Mr. Chauhan. Students should have attended the classes and brought forward issues indicating incapability of Mr. Chauhan instead of resorting to Strike instigated by some Dons of Film Industry with malafide intention.
First of all these people did not deserve it. Awards are not like a toy , to exhibit when it is good and throw it when it is unfit...survival of the fittest in this world..happy t0 see that Those who do not deserve it returning back
When received back these should be dumped in the Arabian Sea. When the receiver do not have the respect to it, the value of it ceases. An award is given as an honor and not like a gift given to a girl friend who when unhappy returns the gift. The deserved people should have received the awards rather than those who have no respect for it. It has become just a means of protest rather than an honor. I know rediff will not post it.
