Yamuna can be save
by Anurodh Dayal on Oct 26, 2015 10:32 AM  | Hide replies

We can save all the rivers including Yamuna. For these Supreme court has to give order for the sewage water treatment before discharging to any canal, river or lake. In my opinion once we have determination we can certainly do. We can make small dam in Delhi and use the yamuna water for boating and develop parks along the river with proper road like Sabarmati in Ahmadabad.

Yamuna

Impossible is the word in the Dictionary of fools as per Napolean. Thats why our Politicians, IAS & Engineers, say never die AND take up any project, get 100s of Crores of funds & ultimately, they will give any number of excuses. Any project is possible in India minus Politicians, IAS & Govt Engineers. Recently there was an article in The Week which carried the story of one School Teacher from a Village near Ahmednagar who cut road thru a hillock (Maharashtra Manjhi) In the artcile, the author showed that "donkeys are better than Govt Engineers". That is Govt of India.

Cleaning of polluted River Yamuna
by Ramamurthy Venkateswaran on Oct 25, 2015 09:57 AM

In the River Ganga, people who have faith in the culture, religion, etc. long / wish to die on the shores of Ganga, so that the body is cremated on the shores and the ashes immersed in the holy river Ganga. But the Yamuna passing through the national capital, Delhi state, which is polluted by the continuous mismanagement by various parties who ran or running the government, desecrated the river by cremating the bodies of their leaders on the banks of River Yamuna. The cremations took place at tax payers money and with state mourning. Do they require such recognition, ask their followers for an answer! Until the cremation of these leaders on the banks of River Yamuna is stopped, the pollution cannot be stopped. As the Lord Shiva is saving the River Ganga, we should pray to Lord Krishna, who did His leelas on the banks of River Yamuna to save it.

by SundaraRajan K on Oct 20, 2015 10:46 PM

In today's DNA Mumbai edition, there is a news item that Thane Municipal Corporation used wet plants to clean polluted lakes. The Minister can contact TMC authorities to clean up Yamuna river. At least an attempt can be made in this direction
