Completely agree with the views expressed in the article. We are still living with a feudal mind set and the problem is worse in northern part of India. We treat all kinds of manual workers as lower human beings yet heavily depend on them for our day to day existence. Educating the poor and make them aware of their rights may reduce the problem to a certain extend, but we need to be more humane, for that we must adopt a value-based educational system.
It is available in India mostly on NORTHEN side. A person who earn property with evil way treat his servants in an worst way.A person earns property with honest way never treat the servants inhuman ways.Trating servat in bad ways means he or she is doing crime and they are that is why punishable by law.

How can you categorise Northern India (Indians). you are talking utter nonsense. It is prevalent in your part of India as well.... Wherever you are from...
You have laid out one side of the story. The other being that the same servant class stay in the best localities and houses in Metro cities and the way they treat the helpless old aged couples is terrifying. They come from the most unprivileged class in the country but once they settle in to the system in the Metro cities they are cold blooded in their approach to work. We require to be careful with these servants, most of them do not have any identity cards or other details and feel offended if they are asked for their details. Once in the system they know how to extract the monies from the middle class and upper middle class families, they want and expect a treatment similar to the other members of the family.
