Until recently and in a few specific cases, you said that questioning SC verdict is being anti national. No? Something changed in the near past?

Were you one of those who were warned not to cast vote for an authoratarian, almost tyrannical personality but still did?

No compromise of Independence of Judiciary
by Manian on Oct 18, 2015 05:40 PM  | Hide replies

Arun Jaitley's remarks reflects their desparation that BJP inspite of having a clear mandate in Lok Sabha are unable to get things in there way. They have the numbers in Lok sabha which represents the will of the people but unable to get through in Rajya Sabha key bills like land reforms bill and GST etc. There NJAC is struck down by SC has unconstitutional. Cabinet PM etc are all offshoot of legilative process and cannnot be magnified as if they are independent. Just Legislature is one. 2G and Coal allotment was all done by elected representative and cannot be let loose and taken out of the purview of the Judiciary and had it not been for judiciary the country would have been taken for ransom by the so called legislature. If the legislature intend is to have better appointment system let them collabroate with Judiciary to have a better and transparent collegium system in order to have most deserving to be in the seat of Judiciary.

Jaitley is correct. judges cannot pick judges. Good Judges have not come to SC bcoz of collegium system. 3 persons PM opposition leader and Chief Justice picking judges of Sc is correct.

Ok SC is wrong. So, it could be so that it has been wrong in many other cases?
