It is scary indeed that the sane voice of our rationalist thinkers has been silenced, murder most foul of peaceful dissenters. The GoI is doing very little to address the fear of intolerance towards dissent.
Even though killing of large animals is abhorrent and cruel, eating meat as such is not a heinous crime. The very Hindu leaders who have had goaded these reckless killings are incorrigible meat-eaters, they have no moral standing to spew hate against other meat-eaters.
Protest should be directed against society/ and not the govt. protest against govt justified only if culprits not caught. What can govt do if someone holds a grouse against another? while i strongly condemn murder, i would like to say that in the name of freedom, it has become a fashion to criticise Hinduism.Dare to do so against any other religion and then talk about freedom??
Salute to the stand. Would be happy if such stand was seen 24 years ago when Kashmiri pandits were lynched out of Kashmir or some intellectuals of now take such decision for the settlement of Kashmiri Pandits.
