It is interesting and he is telling to all state and Centre to take care of our treasure island. It is govt responsibility. Any govt. instead of doing good creating lot of problems. It is our bad luck
In vote bank ki Rajniti and sponsored defamation of Hinuduism by many media agencies, ngos, religeous missions, blowing beef ban out of proportion these priceless antiquities speak of harm done to our culture and strenghten th ebeleif in our great sanskriti.
Unable to understand why we need these back, could not keep security of these idols, now at least beautifying the area wherever they are. Regarding punishment to thieves etc., is a quite separate question. Let law do its job.
The Tamilnadu State Govt maintains an Icon Preservation Centre within the premises of Tiruvarur Temple premises. Several village temples are required to keep the icons after the annual festival is over. Several icons were never returned back for safe custody. This aspect was brought out in the Statutory Audit Inspection Report also. Icons are lying somewhere, the Inspection report was not even read by the Department head. As they say in Stock Market, holding a bluechip is of no use. You must sell and book the profit. These thiefs apply that formula here. What is the great idea in holding ICONS WORTH several crores, they sell it for few thousands or hundreds. MERA BHARAT MAHAAN.
People of India are not worried about their culture and ancient treasure of art which witness the rich heritage of this country. They just lambaste about it. The organizations, said to be morel policing bodes are just bunch of hooligans who make noise and unrest in the country on the pretext of safety of culture, these bodes if they think they are genuine and for the cause of the nation, must take steps to save the cultural treasures in arts and scriptures, but alas they even do not know what is culture.

If the police/IB men and politicians are involved, then what? Who will catch and punish. In most of the cases, supposed protectors themselves are the culprits. It is like killing the animals for their skins etc., in collusion with the Forest authorities.
