HARTALS-BLANKET BAN ON ALL FORMS OF HARTALS
by hariharan subramani on Dec 01, 2015 12:38 PM

Instead of enforcing a blanket ban on hartals, all cities should ear mark a specific area for hartals. It is there in the City of Chandigarh. Those who want to organize a hartal should get prior permission for usage of this specific area by paying a sum fixed by the appropriate authority and on payment. The permission should be only for two hours-maximum. all convenience like toilet, water etc should be availbale there. But no hartal should create any inconvenience to the regular life of the public nor disturb the law and order. So let us have special "HARTAL CORNER". JAI HIND

If the unskilled worker in Kerala
by piri on Dec 01, 2015 01:06 AM  | Hide replies

needs to thank anyone for being able to get Rs. 600/- to Rs. 700/- per day as wages, it is the CPM.

If the worker in Kerala needs to thank anyone for having well defined working hours (8 per day), it is the CPM.

If the worker or for that matter anyone else in the lower middle and middle classes in Kerala need to thank anyone for being able to send their children to well run and well equipped schools as compared to those in most other states, it is the CPM.

If the worker or for that matter anyone else in the lower middle or middle class need to thank anyone for being able to use the services of relatively well run and well equipped govt. hostpitals, it is the CPM.

And above all, if most members of the lower middle or middle classes in Kerala need to thank anyone for transforming their parents from landless peasants to land holding cultivators, it is the CPM !

What about the financial loss? What about the daily wage earners who lose their that day's wage? How can any one justify 'Hartals' at the drop of a hat. ?

Hartal

Good decision. Hartals, bunds, strikes etc must be banned permanently. In olden days their were no televisions, very few telephones and radios in short the media was very limited, even newspapers were not able to reach large audience due illitracy, the word of mouth spread faster and hence strikes, bunds or hartals were viable options then. Now media is well advanced, awareness can be brought to public within hours, there is no need of strikes.

first create chaos by organising Strikes and then play it against Political system to achieve political mileage.
Wrack democratic system by using it in the name of freedom provided by democracy and then subvert it on opportune time.
Communists have negative mind set viz-viz country's welfare.

First of all, Hartal is not banned
by AmarAkbarAntony on Nov 30, 2015 10:23 AM

First of all, Hartal is not banned. It only asks those who conduct hartals give advance notice. This will prevent people, esp women and children, stranded midway even at night. Those who oppose the bill "tooth and nail" will face people's wrath. Enough is enough. We the people too have fundamental rights

West Bengal and Kerala under the CPM/ CPI originated the hartal culture. Now they want to stop it after spreading it to entire country. Action is welcome, but will other political parties allow this bill to pass through?
