Money spent on marriages
by raveendran nair on Dec 01, 2015 01:41 PM  | Hide replies

So many comments read, the positive side is that so much of money changed hands. Many people shared it. It is heard that he had spent huge money on charities as well. He has every right to earn and spend money as he wishes, so my friends please leave him. What is your contribution to the people and society? Is there anything to show to the world so appreciable enough?? Yes, there is limit for everything. But who will decide the limit? You? or Me? The 55 crore is not much compared to the wedding spent by marwaris in mumbai and abroad. This incident was highlighted as it is the first such case in kerala.

Why do you single out communities ? Everyone spends as per his/her capacity and wish. Are you jealous of the financial capacity of the community you just mentioned ?

It is not poor. It is nation. Nation is made of people. Charity or donations is not a subject of preaching. Charity, kindness, poor etc. come from inner-self. No one can teach or train such generosity, Kindnes, be kind to poor etc. None of these comments and messages change. That is why, request these ultra rch to invest in Big maaufacturing, infra etc projects. India Rich have at least 20 lakh crore invest-able and surplus disposable free money. If Social media puts their requests on social media to Rich of India to invest their free, surplus and disposable wealth in big projects it will make every one aware and Govt will come forward to make policies good for Pvt investments.

If all rich people of our nation and the Govt makes a new year resolution "That they will not spend huge monies on splendor, pomp, extravaganza etc, for 5 years and invest all that kind of disposable monies with them on Make In India" and practice in letter and spirit the new year resolution thus made India will have tens of thousands of crores private investment and see the spectacular India it makes in just few years time. All rich Indians put together will have at least 10 lakh crore free, disposable wealth for which these rich can afford to even loose money and also fail and so they can take highest risk and make India a glorious India in just few years. With private money investment of that size by all Indian Rich people several foreign Investors, NRI investors and many Fortune 500 and MNCs will come to India with huge FDI there on. Hope some one will carry this message to GoI and others through social media etc. Poor do not need free money for building homes, for educationg their children nor the rich need to give free money or donation. Let them invest their disposable money and wealth that will generate employment and income to poor. Please Be serious in writing comments - can buld 1000 houses for poor etc. do not work and poor and every one wants jobs not alms.

n present atmosphere of Global recession and low exports investment is a challenge. It is not grabbing money from rich by Govt. It is only a persuation by Govt to take challenge. At least 75% of Rich business houses and Industrialists win the race and challenge of succeeding by investing in big enterprises. It gives a better thrill and satisfaction than spending hugely on celebrations. Same applies to Govt also. Generally Govt spending on celebrations is too less as compared to Pvt people and Govt also hase any surplus money like Pvt people meaning rich of the nation. They need not give any money as donation to Govt or poor. They can simly invest in big projects. 75% success rate is no small thing. Even if success rate will be 50% to 60% it is still much better than extravaganza since it gives nation a boost and also gives scope for satisfaction of achievement to these rich private people. It is like a scientist spending all his life to get a Nobel prize

This man - Ravi Pillai -
by piri on Nov 29, 2015 10:32 PM

said the following to a journalist during an interview :

*It is tough to do business in Kerala. An unskilled worker can be engaged for just Rs. 150/- per day in Gujarat whereas it takes at least Rs. 700/- in Kerala.*

What Mr. Ravi Pillai forgot while saying this is that there are several private entities not only doing business in Kerala but also thriving and growing even while paying Rs. 700/- per day to unskilled workers without any complaint !!

Of course, such a prospect might be difficult to achieve for businessmen like Mr. Ravi Pillai who build their wealth only by squeezing the lives out of employees and who don't have the acumen needed to manage both !

Nobody gives money for nothing. One has to earn it by imagination and hard work, may be with a little bit of luck.
Spending money on such occasions is good because ones spending is others income.

Exactly. See the amount of money came out of the pocket of Mr. Pillai. So many people shared it. This is the way money circulates. Anyway, stashing away the money is the real crime rather than spending it in India for a purpose. No one take their money to the graveyard. If he had spent his entire networth for his daughter's happiness and if that is what is happiness for him, well done Mr.Pillai. People have different opinions. But see, he is not a public figure, no politician. It is his work, his income, his choice, who we are to judge him.

55put as many 00as you like or afford but ultimately it is these numbers which are dumb and deaf yet impress others while those who falunt their wealth, they are dwarfed by numbers. What one can live without is the real strength and character which leaves lasting impression on others.

However rich you can be, You cannot eat more than 5 idly at a time. He could have spent some 500 crores INR to feed the orphanages in India, where some really good souls are forced to live.
