Distinct part of Indian Literature
by Atul Nayak on Nov 25, 2015 09:40 AM

R. K. Narayan's writings, short stories and novels had a distinct flavour of Indian life in the south during the mid 20th Century. Reading his writings took you to a different era and society which most of us have not been able to live. I personally feel that the present generation should read at least some of his writings and see Shankar Nag's "Malagudi Days" to get a feel of the society and growing up during those days. An attempt to revive his writings should definitely be made.
