Too early but not off the mark!

It will be too early to predict Mr Modi’s place in 2019. One has to wait to see the impact of the policy he has set in. At present, the political climate does not offer any other alternative; he is the best bet. However, it may not be presumptuous to disagree with Mr Gupta that if Mr Modi does not change gears from a permanent ‘election-mode’ to actual governance-mode, his brand-value will be adversely affected every time there is a state-election debacle. ‘Leading-from-front’ is a motivating battle-cry but in a democratic set-up an equally competent second-line is a dire necessity – Mr Modi’s team does not lack it but their role appears to have been curtailed!

Implementation of Solar Energy and providing subsidy on usage of such energy will get him there...There are other inhouse issues like ISIS Flags fluttering in J&K rule....Indo-China Border issue...Keeping a check on BSE-NSE.. Also Lowering fuel prices as compared to global Crude price...This might relief common man and food price hike...

Modi\'s team is doing well and not shouting like Congi, for example Electricity phase Piyush has done wonderful job and other minister may also be doing. This the way to improve instead paying attention what has happened in places or said by some one.

Good analysis as usual

"This is the beginning of the 'business' phase for elected governments. Most of the real work is done between year two, when the new government has settled down, and four, when it gets into election mode again." Look forward to some good business.
We have like the rest of the world junked the socialist system and rightly so. From USA to China it is the private sector domestic as well as foreign that can organise investment and technology in manufacturing and services once the infrastructure has been built. This government is right in focusing on infrastructure which alone can generate employment and FDI inflows. Employment in farming must and will come down. Modern manufacturing is capital intensive and labour saving. The only areas for employment creation will be found in the MSME and infrastructure. While the big business can take care of itself if the policies are favourable. Special efforts are however, needed to ensure that fruits of rapid growth are widely distributed. There is the fear of widening income gaps unless ways are found to generate well paid employment opportunities on a huge scale. That's easier said than done in times of exponential advancements in technology. That's is going to be the biggest challenge staring at Modi government.

You are ignorant, aren't you ?

You imply that China has *junked* socialism ??

Really ??

So, what are your reasons to say so ??

Just because China has an open market now and invites and supports free capital ??

Just that reason ??

That is all there is to say that China has *junked* socialism ?

Is the mode of investments the only factor that decides whether a country follows or does not follow socialism ??

Any idea ??

Only value oriented society can take care of all, Socialism is a slogan, which is attractive but unrealistic, even in hand all the fingers are not equal, even the children of one family are different in their achievement and in their temperaments. So how can you make all equal, when they have different out look for life.
What is required , the sensitivity for others and care for all is the need.
Russia , china could not achieve what is defined in so called Socialism, even Socialist leaders are enjoying 7 stars hotels though poverty in society still exist worst than before, so Socialism is mirage.
Adapting religion in its true essence can help, but this too is exploited by vested interests to exploit people.
Honesty and honest efforts on the part of sensitive and powerful and value oriented persons of the society can help the downtrodden.

People want results
by atul A on Nov 22, 2015 07:03 PM

People have voted for results, which means good governance, efficient govt interface with common man, growth of industry, plenty of jobs and low inflation. No amount of foreign visits is helping. Winning in 2019 with such a shadt delivery will be very difficult.
