Not faith but madness

If it a question of faith, how does one explain the mutual killing of Shias and Sunnis who profess the same faith ?

Don't be over simplistic in your arguments. If Shias & Sunnis fight it is similar to what Brahmins do to Dalits. After all they supposedly belong to the same faith, do they not?

You have a point there but who is the dalit, shia or sunni?

Unless the majority civil societies adopt morality as the basis for their nationalist policies, these things recur.

Faith over reason?
by Sriram R on Nov 17, 2015 10:02 PM  | Hide replies

No point in looking at faith over reason or reason over faith. Even in matters of faith it is faith based logical reasoning that is resorted to. Anyways just because Western world is technologically advanced today does not mean that their reasoning based approach is right. Look at Hiroshima, Nagasaki, killing fields of Cambodia, Vietnam, African nations. The real conflict is between being spiritual and being religious. Religion (outward looking) is winning over spirituality (inward looking)
