Tough time ahead
by Hari Rao on Nov 09, 2015 01:56 PM

Nitish has a tough job on hand. He has taken Lalu's help which is like borrowing from a devil. The Lalu family will definitely demand a high price and Nitish cannot expect the freedom he would like. Anyway, all the best for Bihar's progress.

Bihar Marching forward?
by Rabindra on Nov 09, 2015 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

What I have read in this report I hope are reality on the ground. Seeing children underneath the tree and mention of gunny bag under the arm, for sittin in school, it reminded me of the days in 1952-53 when I carried my gunny bag and sat under the tre. I kam a Bengali born in Bihar and by the time I was 15 I left Bihar for my service in Indian Navy and since then I have not looked back, I did not have any hope for the Bihar for two reasons 1. Bhrastachar ieGHUSHKHORI, and Mastan Giri that one could never think of any development for a student. I have my brother residing in Bihar, Katihar, whereI seldom go for only reason that Bihar is not the place to live since there is no good school, colleges, Engineering instt. etc. But Ravish Kumar\'s\" Ye jo jo hai - mera Bihar\" opened my eyes and found youth of Bihar taking lead in their studies. That there are institutions like Mahavir Mandir near Patna Jn. That there is a Super 30, and many other things which exists no where in India. I feel good about it and feel like if I could get back to Bihar?

Not only in Bihar as you said. Throughout the country it was like that in those days. After independence, those time rulers of South India did excellent with sacrifice. Today all the south Indian states are better comparing most northern states in education, health, irrigation, transportation etc. Both Andhra and Tamilnadu put together have 40% of Engg colleges in India, to day. Kerala tops the literate state and next comes TN. Once Milk, Egg, Apple, and certain English vegetable are luxury to poor while now it becomes necessity to all. Those days Denmark and Swiss were largest producers of milk whereas now India is the largest exporter of dairy products. But some men speak of beef eating.
