Bihar elections
by Suresh Heblikar on Nov 09, 2015 01:01 PM  | Hide replies

The victory of Nitish and Lalu suggest that trust and traditions should be the cornerstones of political processes like elections in India. The Biharis trusted their own leaders rather than \'outsiders\' who tempted them with large doles.More important is the simplicity in approach and streak of honesty in communication which might have earned the trust of the Bihar voters..Nitish might not have provided all that he had promised but the intention of delivering cant be questioned and this element carries a comparative advantage against the big dreams and packages offered by those who are out to win at any cost. Viewed in this context the Bihar elections are a lesson to the political parties in this country that a three-time chief minister who had not done anything outstanding in terms of achievement for his state but worked honestly to deliver whatever he could wins yet another election pitted against a giant of a national leader who had pitched his all to defeat the regional duo whose weaknesses were magnified to marginalise them..This indeed is the mother of all elections

how long...

I wonder how long this alliance will last... Lallu's got more seats then Nitesh and most likely he will be dictating terms to Nitesh. It may also happen that he may stake claim to CM's post.

If Nitesh is able to manage and take Bihar to prosperity then it will be a big achievement.

Actually Nitish lost the elections
by amit saxena on Nov 09, 2015 09:18 AM  | Hide replies

He was enjoying with BJP as CM but due to his personal ego clashes with Modiji he dropped relations with BJP. Now also he has to depend on Lalu and Lalu is a big u turn politician. His seats have dropped lower than last elections. Now instead of BJP he has to depend on lalu. The same Lalu against whom he won last election on the issue of jangalraj. BJP lost nothing but will gain definitely in next elections.

BJP has gained experience! And it will a slap on all those loud mouth BJP leaders that good will of PM alone cannot win you elections. It will teach them to stick to basics of development and clean governance. Rest all issues are irrelevant. Also it will understand that enemy is not as weak as it thinks.
BJP will gain from this and will preform better in days to come.
