.....effectively painting the human side of the war that was from the Russian context.Rediff should dig in more such articles connected with World-War 2, covering life of people across countries during and after the war. The above article indeed makes some 'well-written informative' reading for the younger population of the day which has yet to 'discover' the truth of life in a build up to a war-torn world of late 30s to early 40s and the effects that carried on for decades since then.

Strong Countries

Strong countries are strong because of strong people and leadership, similarly destitute countries also have reasons to be like that. World Diplomacy understands the strength otherwise it is simply sympathy. At the moment, strong countries only sympathizes with India because of abject poverty and corrupt leadership. This the reason why we still have millions of NGOs who receive foreign money in the name of helping poors although their real motive is different. If we have to show strength, first step would be to stop NGOs who Beg in the name of India and do all sort of Anti-Indian activities including demographic interventions.

Education is a very vague term. There is a quality factor that determines the immediate and ultimate social effects of education. Whether the educated become docile and obedient to arbitrary beliefs or become aggressive free thinkers depends on quality of their education.

Indian education breeds habits of mindless conformity to superstition and prejudice, not the habit of freedom of thought. Educated Indians tend to be soft, not tough as in some other countries. It is the major reason why Indians are unable to reform their attitudes despite education.

Not very wrong perception as most international NGO founders are well-to-do people and as it is alienated from the real needs and concerns of the people in whose name the foreign money is brought in. As of today, the nation is in the hands of fully home-grown nationalist political RSS-BJP combine and therefore all international funds should be duly routed to the government.
