Atleast in this matter, India is ahead of China, our PM's salary beats that of the Chinese President, though that country is 5 times richer than us(China's GDP in 2014 is $ 10.8 trillion, in comparison to India's GDP of around $ 2 trillion in 2014). This is something for us to boast.
Whoever wrote this piece! You have yourself clearly stated that the monthly income of Lee Hsien Loong is $140,000 and have then gone ahead to compare it with the annual packages of the rest. Please pull this down or verify facts and clean this up.
Where is the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Prime Minister of Australia, President of Ireland, Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Prime Minister of New Zealand, etc.? Even if CNN says so, please verify the facts. Or, is this CNN's version of the world?
Why don't you just make life easy and pull this down?

Singapore Lee Hsien Loong is highest paid leader on books. But if you count illegal or black money, then sharad pawar will top combine all minister into 1000 times money.
The concept or rational of Singapore political system is that all top ministers, bureaucrats and government officers salary must be highest since it would attract best talent and best jobs should remain with the best people.
Singapore after carefully studying the model all over world decided politicians are architect of an economy since they are the policy makers and they make rules and laws which decides the course of action for the nation.
In most corrupt countries, people come in politics for their own business or expansion of business using political power. Since why would a politician serve government on a meager salary after spending millions in election campaign, so that he can recover money by means of corruption.
Singapore has such strict provisions for politicians that any unidentified wealth with politicians are treated as black money, he cant uses his power in influencing business etc. You see the corruption rate in Singapore.
Singapore has said this in many articles, to change or bring reform in country there must be a political will and for example in a country like India where there is no political will to bring anti corruption law, strict laws, judicial reform... you understand

The list in for those countries where there is democratic institution in place and even Singapore is semi authoritative.
If you count the net worth of King Abdullah the royal kings of saudi and gulf and middle east, his net salary is King Abdullah bin Abul Aziz was a Saudi King and politician who had a net worth of $18 billion (USD) the money which can even put Ambani group wealth in shame, that much money king of saudi or gulf has. Ambani Reliance group is worth 14 billion which has 10-20 lakhs employees or more and one king of saudi has more income...Just imagine wealth in hands of kings in saudi
What is the channel trying to show by this? The purchase value of a Re and a dollar in USA are different after conversion. Then if you want to show, show their income from all sources, legitimate and otherwise. You will find some of those ministers in India can compete even Ambanies and Aziz premji.
Forget Mochi, who is in a different altogether with huge net worth contributed by corporate kickbacks, even a corporator of Mumbai and Bangalore will have net worth more than that of Obama.

I was pretty much here and absolutely frustrated with the scams during Congee rule. In fact, it's people like you who ruin the nation by implying that "our" party has a right to 100t nation since some other party has 100ted it in the past.

Absolutely well said Ajit. Indians must not get into chamchagiri of any one political party.
