Brave journalist who stood against sand mafia kidnapped and burnt
by jayaram putisari on Jun 22, 2015 11:16 PM

This letter is in the wake of repeated attempts on the life of journalists and media people.
There could be criminals and miscreants among journalists as well. Also journalists should desist from giving too much emphasis to yellow journalism. They must respect others’ privacy and rights. Making mountains out of molehills is part of their pet passions! Also they should resist their tendency to drag people into spotlight and controversy for petty or innocent mistakes. There could be journalists involved in extortion rackets as well.

On the flip side, protecting and encouraging journalists who undertake faithful journalistic pursuits should be the duty of fellow tribes in the profession and the common people. They are part of the backbone of a democratic system. We should keep their moral at a high level and make them contribute in a constructive way for our benefits and the benefit of the civilization as a whole… This particular incident is a real bone chilling development, and the culprits involved in the heinous crime shall be brought to book at the earliest. Also, the family should not be allowed to suffer for standing by and encouraging an upright professional. Moreover, we should see that sensational cases are handled in an exemplary manner, so that the moral of the public and the professionals remain high. All through we must try and desist from victimizing people who happened to get caught in the crossfire etc!

What kind of Country are we living where a Govt Says see we have taken a stand on corruption and since last year there is not corruption. But can they provide the same assurance to the people of India who dealing with corruption every day. No Party has till date has shown any interest in dealing with corruption. They create law and sit down in their protected and AC room. We have enough of Law but where is the agency to protect us from corruption. Mafia is every where and they are doing damage to country resources and looting the public property but our Parliament is silence. They have never tried to take a tough stand for such illegal activity nor they come forward and give any statement for such heinous crime. Rather i would say they have no backbone to say so. WE have the best Law and the Best Constitution in world but these are accompanied by worst police standards and worst practices among our politicians.
