In my opinion countries which are more happy have less bureaucracy.We call ourselves a democracy while in reality we are not,less the controls happier the person.

I fully agree with you. happiness and misery are all a state of mind. If you think happiness, you attract happiness. and vice versa
Poor Methodology adopted for the conclusions. A country where hundreds of the citizens beheaded annually with moderate crimes is shown high in happiness index. So there is need to re consider about the methodology adopted with sufficient no. of respondents. India and China are vast countries with huge regional variations. All such things seems to be missing.
Countries like Nigeria,Iraq and Syria (Considered as the worst place to live in by Forbes) have higher happiness index than India which is a peaceful country to live In......
