Democracy in countries like India and Bangladesh

In most of our states the rulers would become dictators if they could. What stops them is the fact that they only rule over states, not countries. Bangladesh is similar, but the restraining factor is absent.

Whatever may be the expectations of the world it is a known fact that democracy in a Muslim Majority country is tough. Even in places like Indonesia and Malaysia it is not easy. so expecting a multi party democracy in Bangladesh is asking for too much. Further poverty is a big dampener for such an arrangement in Bangladesh. We can only hope for the best

India helped Bangaldesh get independence. Hasina is a good friend of India unlike Khaleeda. We should support her in her efforts to improve Bangladesh in all respects. Modi is the leader who knows what is best for India and he gets along very well with Hasina. Hope all outstanding problems will be sorted out.
