Wild life area of Andaman & Nicobar has reduced by 75% in 8 y
by shirish on Mar 27, 2017 08:29 PM

Andaman & Nicobar is a tribal forest land, having more than 90% of island's land is forest. By looking at the reduction of wild life area in eight years, by 75% it implies, even after stopping forest way back in the year, 1997, there is great reduction in forest area.
What a corruption!

After Veerappan's Death, the elephant population increased tremendously. Simple reason could be availablity of more male elephants to impregnate the plenty of adult females!! This is the cause for overcrowding of forest with elephants!!

Forest Mafia,Local population cut tree for money and fire wood. Local people (tribal) land grabbed by rich money lenders/rich land lords, thus forced tribal to move towards forest for cutting tree for new cultivation area. It is a cyclic process.
